Harnessing the true potential of nature’s apothecary using the latest scientific methods.
At Wellwoud, we believe in harnessing the true potential of nature’s apothecary using the latest scientific methods, while staying true to the ancient healing traditions passed down from generation to generation.
One highly valued tree, steeped in tradition and culture and used traditionally by the Orang Asli (indigenous people) for medicinal as well as spiritual purposes, plays a dominant role in our story. Agarwood, known as Gaharu in Malaysia, and Oud in the Middle East, is indigenous to Southeast Asia and lends its name to Wellwoud.
Given the endangered status of Agarwood trees, research on the therapeutic properties of this tree is scarce. Wellwoud seeks to harness the benefits of this ancient panacea and bring it to the modern era by conducting further research, whilst ensuring the long-term sustainability of this precious species.
Our Oud plantation uses proprietary harvesting techniques and cutting-edge technology to ensure the longevity of the trees and the protection of the surrounding ecosystem. Our Oud essential oils are produced using the gold standard supercritical carbon dioxide extraction method to ensure purity and quality.
In addition to our Oud plantation, Wellwoud’s very own herb farm houses more than 250 species of indigenous rainforest herbs. Herbs have been used for centuries by traditional herbalists and healers to support the body in healing. This herbal knowledge is invaluable and forms the cornerstone of our natural healing products. Each herb is researched and tested to identify its unique healing properties and to ensure its safety profile.
Our products contain a synergistic blend of herbs, Oud and essential oils that are scientifically proven to work with the body and empower natural healing.
